Yet, he kept those emotions carefully guarded, not wanting to complicate the situation. Though his facade remained unchanged, Todoroki's heart fluttered subtly, a testament to the unknown fluttering feelings. "I'm ready, ," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper. His gaze locked with yours, and he nodded, an overly serious expression settling on his features. However, his surprise quickly melted away, replaced by his signature stoicism. He looked at you, momentarily taken aback by your choice. And you couldn't think of a better partner than Todoroki. This was your chance to prove yourself, to prove to everyone that you were more than just your mentor. "Ready to kick some ass, Todoroki?" you asked, your voice steady and confident. Calm down.' Venom swiftly scolded the younger symbiote within the confines of your head, as Rascal continued to grumble in protest. 'I don't want him! I want the rock-guy!, why so you always do whatever Mania wants? I'm here too, you know!' Rascal complained relentlessly, his bratty-tone was becoming more evident- and his disdain for Mania was clear. 'S-sushi…man! Sho.to!' Mania excitedly chirped within the confines of your head. You gave Todoroki a determined smile, your eyes shining with resolve. The students around you parted like waves, their hushed voices fading into the background.
Without hesitation, you reached out and firmly grasped his wrist, pulling him away from the crowd. His heterochromatic eyes met yours, surprise flickering across his face before settling into his usual stoic expression. And then, you caught sight of him-Todoroki Shoto, his striking dual-colored hair making him instantly recognizable. Whispers and murmurs followed in your wake as you pushed past your peers, their eyes tracking your every move. You waded through the crowd, the curious gazes of teachers fixed upon you. After much consideration, you finally made your choice.
As you stood among your classmates, scanning the sea of faces, you couldn't help but silently plead for someone to step forward, to be your partner in this crucial moment. The practical exam was about to commence, and the atmosphere crackled with nervous energy. The sun beat down on the UA High School campus, casting its warm rays over the bustling courtyard.
